Discovering the history of our village and the church
With the help of funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund we have been working with children from Granville Academy and Hartshorne CofE Primary School to discover the history of Hartshorne and the place of St Peters church in that long history.
Upper Hall
Children from Granville Academy and Hartshorne CE Primary School had the best time visiting Upper Hall, known more commonly as the Old Manor House. The house is wonderful, the children couldn’t get enough of the original features from the inglenook fireplace, bread oven and cellar!
Did you know that the Old Manor House is sometimes open for tours? Watch this space for more information. The Old Manor House is on page 5 of the Hartshorne Heritage Trails book.
